Product Review - NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Lollipop 111

Hi Girls,

Continuing with my series in NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss, my next lip gloss is Lollipop. Fun color as is the name.

Color : Orange with silver shimmer. NYX  has made its mark in the lip gloss category. Lollipop is one another color which speaks quality. Its a very pretty semi opaque orange color. 

This comes out a little coral on my lips. My lips are very pink/ red, It can actually be a taboo at times. The colors like this don't come out true to its color. But this doesn't takes away from the beauty of this color. 

Shimmer is finely milled and infuses with lips, doesn't looks chunky and glittery. 

It color looks pretty on any skin tone who loves to wear orange color.

Product Review - NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - Gold Pink

Couple of days back I wrote a post about NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural. This post is an extension of that article. Here I am sharing a second color in that same brand - GOLD PINK 131.

Color : 

Very soft pink with slight blue undertone and finely milled golden shimmer. I have medium tan olive skin (NC 40-42), on me it looks like a soft baby pink color if worn alone or with a n*de lipstick. The shimmer is very finely milled. One can notice the shine but not the sparkle. 

This color almost suits all skin complexions On fairer complexion this color will look very pretty as more pink will show up. On duskier skin tones the golden sparkle will add more sheen to the lips.

Product Review - NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss - Natural 122

Hi,

Today I am reviewing one of the most raved drugstore lipglosses By NYX cosmetics. NYX Mega Shine Lip gloss are the most sought after product from NYX cosmetics. 

NYX describes them as :

"Kiss me quick! Our signature Mega Shine Lip Gloss delivers shine, moisture and softness and envelops lips with glistening color. The finish is both creamy and steamy and ensures knockout glamour. A blend of mineral and lanolin oils helps protect the pout. Available in 50 almost sinful lip gloss shades."

Price : $5 for 11 ml  

Product : Creamy, non sticky, thick and super pigmented. These go on smoothly without bleeding. Their fragrance is like cherries and few have minty taste. Nothing too overpowering. The range includes shimmery to creamy textures.  There is an array of colors which include about 50 shades in total.  

Packaging: Sleek plastic tube packaging with a doe foot applicator. I am personally not a big fan of doe foot applicators as I tend to spread the product outside my lip line using them. But with some controlled strokes it gives a clean finish. It has a cute bow on the cap.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural 

Natural is a light brown color with pink undertone. It has no shimmer and has a signature cherry fragrance. Its creamy in texture. For me its almost like a n*de lip color. if worn alone it washes me out a bit. For fairer complexioned girls it will suit better. I wear it with different lip liners underneath it for a bit of added color.

Pros:

• Opaque pigmentation. Gives a above average color payoff.
• Creamy in texture . Its not tacky or sticky at all.
• Does not bleeds.
• Packing is sleek.
• Stays for about 4 hours. 
• Cruelty Free. 
• Hypoallergic.

Cons : 

• Availability in India, some website do stock NYX products but very limited range is available.
• These are claimed to be moisturizing, but I prefer using a moisturizer first. 
• It can settle into lines. To avoid that, I rub it gently with my finger once it dries a little.
• Non Transfer resistant. It moves to everything and has to be reapplied after eating or drinking.
• Fragrance can be bit bothersome to sensitive people. Although it doesn't stays for long. 

Last words :

For the value, I love these. It wont be fair to compare these to Higher end brands. But if you dont want to spend a lot and want a decent opaque lip gloss then you should definitely try these. I have four shades of this range.
