Home Facial
Hi Beauties,
This is my trusted recipe of home facial.
Using all natural products once a while is always a pleasant break from the chemicals.
Step 1 : Steam
Step 2 : Scrub
Here I have few options depending on your convenience and skin type, or if you have time you can go for both.
First Pack:
This is my trusted recipe of home facial.
Using all natural products once a while is always a pleasant break from the chemicals.
Step 1 : Steam
- Boil some water and take steam for a couple of minutes to loosen the dirt, debris and oils.
- Taking Steam once a while helps exfoliators to work better and its even necessary for deep cleaning of skin.
Step 2 : Scrub
- 1 tablespoon Rawa or semolina,
- 1/4 spon Curd / yogurt ( if sour it will be better),
- few drops of lemon juice.
- Mix all the ingredients well, just moisten the semolina enough so that it binds well but see to it that doesn't gets soggy. We want to maintain the grainy texture for better scrubbing, don't leave this mixture for long, use it as soon as you make it.
- For scrubbing use circular motions with gentle hand. Scrub entire face avoiding eye area. This scrub is mild enough for using on lips.
- Leave for 5 mins and wash with warm water.
Alternative to this can be sugar, oil and lemon juice scrub.
Step 3 : Moisturizing and Face pack
Here I have few options depending on your convenience and skin type, or if you have time you can go for both.
First Pack:
- A half tomato
- Just rub tomato onto your face and leave for 5 mins , when its gets a little dry again re rub the tomato on to the skin.
- This helps to brighten the skin and remove tan
Second Pack :
- 1 Tbspn Gram Floor,
- 1 Tbspn Milk Cream,
- a pinch of turmeric.
- Mix these ingredients and massage it into your skin well and leave for 15 mins.
- When dry gentle rub with moist fingers and wash with cold water.
- This pack is very good for dry skin. Oily skin people can replace Milk Cream with yogurt or just raw milk.
With Natural ingredients possibilities of making different face packs are endless you just need to know which substance suits you and which does not.
Ingredients generally suitable for dry skin are : Almonds, Milk, Milk Cream, Yogurt, Chirongi, Orange Masoor Dal, Honey, Gram floor etc.
Ingredients well suited for Oily/ Acne prone skin are Multani Mitti or Fuller's Clay, Rose water, Sandalwood paste, Gram Floor, Turmeric, Cinnamon, Clove etc.
Step 3 : Glow pack
- 1 Tbspn Honey
- few lemon drops
- Mix the two and apply a thick layer on the skin allow i to sit for 10-15 mins and top it up again with a thick layer of the mixture. After 10 min wash it of with cold water.
I like applying this pack when my skin is damp with water, so after the second step I don't pat my face dry i just directly apply Honey and lemon on wet face. For me personally i feel that concentrated honey makes my skin even drier. and applying it on damp face locks in the moisture.
I hope you guys enjoy this simple facial routine at home.
Stay Beautiful :)

HomeMade Body Scrub for dry rough skin
Hello,
Suffering from Dry Rough winter skin???
To scrub away the winter blues let the Kitchen Cabinet to come to the rescue ..
Relaxing Guacamole Body Scrub
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup mashed avocado
- 1 tbsp milk cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- A few drops of lavender, or your favorite essential oil (optional)
Process:
Stir ingredients together in a large bowl until well mixed. Use in the shower or bath to exfoliate elbows, knees, heels, or any dry, scaly areas. Rinse well.
Avocado and olive oil both contain fatty acids to replenish your skin’s natural protective barrier. In fact, some of my patients with rashes such as eczema or “winter itch” prefer olive oil and other natural oils to soothe their sensitive skin because these oils don’t sting or irritate. Lavender is a scent commonly used in aromatherapy — they've been shown to help you sleep more soundly. Consider adding a few drops of this oil if you scrub before bedtime.
Do you like doing Body Polishing at home?? try my method of Body Polishing this winter season.
For face I have just the perfect Face Pack-cum- Scrub recipe
Stay Beautiful,

HomeMade Pack for Product Buildup in hair
Hi,
Is your hair limp and dull? Do you feel that the hair gets greasy very quickly after you wash your hair? And you never get the squeaky clean feel? Well then this might be the case of "Product Buildup" on the hair and scalp.
What is "Product Buildup"? When we use different hair care product like shampoos, conditioners, and different hair styling products etc, they leave behind some residue on the hair and on the scalp. This residue stick to hair and makes your hair look dull, sticky and nasty. This residue is so hard that many times shampoo even cannot break it. It even stops any nourishment or oils from any product applied to reach the strand or the scalp. This residue can also be because of hard water conditions.
How to remove Product Build up ?
Let the Kitchen Cabinet come to the rescue ...
Yes, Baking Soda, also called Sodium Bicarbonate or eating soda. Do not confuse Baking soda with Baking Powder, they both are way different.
Baking soda can be used to clarify the hair when mixed with water, shampoo or conditioner. A baking soda hair wash cleans out excess product, removes impurities and cleans your hair better than many expensive products on the market. Baking Soda breaks through the residue layer on the hair strand as well as on the scalp. This will make hair product residue free so that it shines and becomes healthy.
Process:
Wet your hair normally, take your normal shampoo in your palm, and add 1 Table Spoon (for short - medium length hair, more for longer hair) of Baking Soda mix the content in your palm and massage them in your hair, leave for 2-3 minutes and wash as usual. You can repeat the shampoo if you want. This will result
in squeaky clean hair.
Precaution:
Do not over do it. Once in two weeks is enough. Don't leave it for more than 3 minutes. Baking soda makes hair absorb moisture, so it may weaken or break the hair shaft if overdone. Use with care
