You may see so many different (read expensive) eyebrow kit flooding everywhere (read beauty blogs).
What are they exactly? They typically have one creamy color to fill the eyebrows and one wax to set the hair and keep it in place. How much they cost anything around and above 800 Rupees.
Do we actually need it? I don't wanna spend that kind of money on such a product, I would rather save and buy some good foundation/ lipstick / mascara.
So what do we do ?
I have a recipe for perfect natural looking eyebrows.
Products Used:
| Second last and last color in bottom row & Angled Liner brush |
- A Spooly Brush or any Angled Liner Brush: typically known as Mascara wand, you can buy then, or just any old mascara brush you have , wash it with water and soap, let it dry , Woila , you have a eyebrow tool.
- Any Matte deep Brown and Black Eyeshadow : make sure they are completely matte, you don't want shimmer on your brows, you can take any cheap eyeshadow, you dont have to buy anything expensive, just make take care that brown color is a little darker than your skin tone.
- A Clear Mascara (optional): Again nothing fancy, the cheapest u can find. and trust me this will be good for atleast 1 year , if you use it everyday. I have mine from last 2 years and and its still more than half filled.
| Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara |
Process:
- Rub your brush on the brown shadow and pick some color onto it.
- Place this brush on the highest point of your brow (Arch) and brush it out towards the outer end of the brow. Use small strokes for this process.
- Try and draw a straight line on upper edge of the brow and repeat the same process on lower edge of the outer half of the brow.
- Don't pick a lot of color. Just stay to a minimum you can build later if you want it.
- Now repeat the process on inner half of the brow. By same method, defining the upper edge of inner half of brow, bringing color inwards from the highest point and then on the lower edge.
- Now you can adjust the color by mixing in some black and darkening it according to your requirement.
- I personally like keeping my edges sharp for a clear definition and a little darker colored on outer half.
- You can stop here if you want. Otherwise apply a coat of clear mascara defining the hair strands. Clear mascara will keep the hair in place.
- Practice to master the technique, it is always good to click a picture to see how it turns out and adjust accordingly.
Stay Beautiful :)
