Today we are gonna discuss about a Brightening Pack.
Okay a little preview, I have never ever had a satisfactory experience with a brightening pack. Although I love face packs but expect a couple of them I find rest all disappointing or should I say I expect more than they deliver.
In this heat and pollution we loose the glow from the face so easily. To bring back this glow is the most daunting task, esp. if you need to attend a special occasion on the same day and you dont have time for facial.
Recently I found a quick fix. Cosmedic Lumifast Brightening Minute Mask. When I read the ingredients I was bowled over. It had my favorite 10 % Alpha Hydroxy Acids.
What Cosmedic says about this product:

Packaging:
The product comes in the green glass jar packaging with screw cap and internal lid. The glass jar is heavy and sturdy. The opening of the jar is small. Spatula is needed to scoop out the product.
Product:
White, thick waxy textured cream with slight musky fragrance. The waxy texture isn't bothersome rather product spreads easily and settles as a whitish transparent film. The fragrance disappears in a while. A thin layer of product is supposed to applied for 10 mins. It might cause a little stinging. This can be applied 2- 3times a week.

Kaolin : Kaolin cleanses and exfoliates dead skin cells and debris from the surface. Kaolin adds absorbency, texture and bulk to cleansers, face masks, soaps and dusting powders.
Sodium lactate: It is commonly used in cosmetics as a preservative, exfoliant, and humectant.
Lactic Acid : Is the Key ingredient here. It is a mild Alpha Hydroxy Acid. It has huge number of benefits attached to it. Exfoliation, De-pigmentation, Intensive hydration, collagen production within the skin cells, treat skin problems such as acne, impurities, and oily skin breakouts.

My Experience :
NOTE: I use 10% glycolic acid cream everyday which I stopped using during the test period of one month.
The pack is waxy in texture but is not tough to apply. It spreads easily on skin. First time I used it as per instruction, a thin layer applied for 5-10 mins and then washed the face. As I have been regularly using Glycolic Acid before testing this product. So the first time I didn't find any difference. On the first application it caused me slight stinging (was surprised as I am used to AHAs).
I repeated this pack after 3-4 days. This time I used a thicker layer and applied it for 15-20 mins.Initially there was a slight stinging when I applied the pack but it came down within few minutes. I know this is not the exact way to use it. But This time I saw major brightness on my face. The tanning came down and there was a clear glow to my face. Oil free smooth skin and Hydrated face were the result.

Cons:
- Narrow jar opening but is perfect for a spatula.
- Brightness doesn't last long.
- Not sure if it can cause irritation on sensitive skin.
- Heavy packaging.
- Prices increased
Last words:
Excellent Product for brightness. I have used it for about a month. It gives an Instant facial glow. When I am in hurry I just apply a thick layer and get that soft hydrated clean illuminated skin. I didn't miss using my 10% glycolic acid on daily basis. It kept my white heads and open pores at bay too.
Though for people who are new to using AHAs, they should start by using a thin layer and wash it off after 10 mins. It might cause some people a little stinging. I would suggest to wash it immediately if it is uncontrollable.
Will I repurchase it ?? Definitely, I love the way it gives a glow on my skin. If not for using it in a routine, I will use it for the days when I need to go out and have no time for a facial.
