Sleeping with Make-up on!

Got home late tonight and feeling too tired and sleepy. Removing makeup feels like trekking Mt. Everest!! Don’t be bugged. Sleeping with makeup OCASSIONALY, once a while, does not makes much of a difference.
Yes, making it a regular habit is bad and will promote eye infections, clogging of pores and may be acne.

Explanation

When I say sleeping with makeup on once a while doesn’t affects your skin, is grounded on the fact that we wear makeup in a day for around 8-10 hours, so sleeping in it for another 8 hours won’t distresses the skin. But you should not be sensitive to the products used, because if you are, they will stimulate clogging and acne even in day time.
Sleeping with makeup everyday is reason for clogging of pores, acne and probably eye infection. When we sleep, we rest our head against a pillow and there is a continuous tug, pull and rub between the skin and the pillow surface. This encourages the product to migrate near or at times inside the eye, which causes redness and itching leading infections. This tugging and pulling also pushes makeup deep in the pores which causes them to clog, and eventually lead to acne.
So make it a habit to remove the makeup and follow a proper skin care regime to avoid these unwanted invitees.

Products

There are many products available in market. These are basically divided in three categories according to the ingredients and overall product.

Oil – water suspension
L'Oreal Paris Dermo Expertise Lip & Eye Make-Up Remover

Cleanser
Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser
H2O Sea Results 3-in-1 Foaming Cleanser

Wipes
Kara Makeup Removal Wipes

Enough said about ready made products, they definitely make life easier but why dread if you don’t have them handy!!

Homemade Remover
Oil, it’s as simple as that. Just take few drops of oil onto the cotton pad, rub the face and see the makeup leave the skin. Now just wash the face with lukewarm water and a facewash. Follow it with a toner. Done.
Which oil can we use?? Any, olive oil, baby oil, coconut oil anything that’s available.

Heard of wet baby wipes?? They serve as excellent makeup removers. And if they are good for delicate skin of new borns they are definitely good for our face too. And normally they are very cheap too. Try baby wipes from Johnson's Baby Wipes or Huggies Natural Wipes.

Stay Beautiful :)
